


Since it's inception in 1998, the TEEX WMD/EMS program has educated responders throughout the United States and their Territories. From 1999 through 2007 the program has educated over 13,000 students in the management of injuries and illnesses which result from terrorist events and other disasters. The program utilizes state-of-the-art Human Patient Simulators to allow students to treat simulated patients of a chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, or explosive disaster. Students are facilitated by a team of Instructors who are all subject matter experts in the area of disaster patient management and terrorist events. This course offers students a unique and unforgettable training experience.

EMS Operations & Planning for Weapons of Mass Destruction PER 211:
This course will equip pre-hospital and hospital medical personnel with the skills needed to ensure proper patient triage, treatment, and transportation in the event of exposure to a chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and explosive (CBRNE) weapons. Exercises conducted in a CBRNE scenario will reinforce classroom lectures and interaction. First responders will use their training to demonstrate proper techniques for assessment, triage, mass decontamination, treatment and stabilization. In addition, course participants will receive training on the proper techniques for protecting themselves and limiting cross-contamination.
