Firefighter Recruit Academy
Now offering TWO great ways to earn your Firefighter certification!
Both of our programs meet or exceed all requirements set by Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service (TEEX) and Texas Commission on Fire Protection (TCFP) and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1001, Standard for Fire Fighter Professional Qualifications, as well as NFPA 472, Standard for Competence of Responders to Hazardous Materials/Weapons of Mass Destruction Incidents.
Online (blended learning) Recruit Academy
We are proud to announce the Fall 2012 launch of FireFighterAcademy.com. This robust recruit academy is designed for those that may not have the time to commit to the traditional face-to-face training academy but still want the best hands-on training available anywhere.
This program consists of the online portion followed by a 21-day boot camp of hands-on skills practice and testing at Brayton Fire Training Field.
Developed by TEEX and PennWell, the leading publisher of firefighter educational books, magazines and training conferences, students will benefit from a rock-solid collaboration, built on 200+ years of combined experience.

Traditional Face-to-Face Recruit Fire Training Academy
If online learning is not for you, then our traditional 12-week program consisting of face-to-face classroom learning and hands-on field exercises is exactly what you need. We may have added an online option, but that has not changed the excellence we deliver through this program.

Fire Science Technology Degree Program
A unique partnership between TEEX and Blinn College
Receive college credit for the TEEX Recruit Academy (traditional or online) and be eligible to apply for financial aid by enrolling in the Blinn College Fire Science Technology Degree program. Receive your Associate in Applied Science (AAS) and complete the Recruit Academy in four semesters.
