Overview

The Texas Fire Officer Training Program is conducted within Texas and is supported with State funds. These courses are offered throughout the State at various locations. The program consists of four courses: Fire Officer I, II, III & IV. All classes meet NFPA 1021 training requirements for Pro Board testing and certification. Students completing Fire Officer I & II may also obtain credit from the Texas Commission on Fire Protection (TCFP). (TCFP currently offers no certification at the Fire Officer III and IV levels.)

• NFPA 1021 Fire Officer I

Chief Officer

• NFPA 1021 Fire Officer III
• NFPA 1021 Fire Officer IV

Certification and Accreditation: Students successfully completing the Fire Officer I, II, III & IV programs are eligible for Pro Board (NPQS) NFPA 1021 testing and certification. All classes are eligible for American Council on Education (ACE) credit.
