COLLEGE STATION - TEEX's expertise in water and wastewater training has been tapped by Pennwell Publishing, which called on the agency's subject matter experts to develop web-based courses for its http://www.waterworldce.com/, the WaterWorld continuing education website.
The Texas Engineering Extension Service (TEEX) now has 15 web-based courses, which are offered on http://www.waterworldce.com/
to provide continuing education for water and wastewater professionals nationwide. Developed by TEEX instructors in the Infrastructure Training and Safety Institute (ITSI) in conjunction with Pennwell Publishing, the courses are geared toward providing continuing education through relevant and easily accessible educational content.
Each module provides was designed for a national audience and offers 1 hour of professional development through Pennwell. Topics include algae control, metering and flow monitoring, pump operation and maintenance, sampling and field analysis, industrial pretreatment, advanced wastewater treatment, aeration system control and more.
In addition, TEEX water and wastewater instructors have written technical articles for WaterWorld magazine, and referenced the training courses. Authors include James Fischer, Mark Goad, Keith McLeroy and Jim Chew.
