The Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service (TEEX) offers field assessments to assist product developers and manufacturers in maximizing their budgets and developing new and innovative technologies. TEEX has developed and proven processes to effectively evaluate existing and emerging technologies through the use of extensive facilities and subject matter experts. By using subject matter experts in real-life, scenario based field assessments to provide practitioner relevant and operationally oriented end-user perspectives, maximum benefit is provided to the customer. Armed with this information, developers, innovators and manufacturers can provide better equipment solutions for emergency responders. Targeted efforts during the development process will provide the customer important information regarding pre-production product design.

TEEX will work in conjunction with the customer to design an assessment plan that is focused on the customer's needs and will provide the most effective evaluation of the product. Engineering support can be made available to assist with test design, data collection/analysis and the development of a concise field assessment report that is scientifically based and customer friendly. The outcome of a field assessment will be to provide significant data so the company can make informed decisions concerning the products final state.
