Brayton Fire Training Field

Brayton Fire Training FieldThe 120-acre Brayton Fire Training Field in College Station is the largest in the United States and includes full-scale buildings, towers, tanks, industrial plant structures and a ship that are used during life-like training simulations. Other training aids are used for classes in high-rise rescue, aircraft firefighting, passenger train emergency response, structural collapse/heavy rescue and other mass-casualty emergencies.

The Annual Texas Fire Training Schools draw more than 4,000 firefighters and emergency workers to the field each summer for a week of intensive, hands-on training. The site also contains "Disaster City®," a mock city with numerous full-scale training props, and the Emergency Operations Training Center, a part of the National Emergency Response and Rescue Training Center (NERRTC).
