Course Description


HAZ008 - NFPA 472 Hazardous Materials Incident Command Training - 16.00 Hours

Description

Addresses OSHA's requirements per 29 CFR 1910.120 (q)(6)(v) and competencies in NFPA 472, chapter 5 and Tentative Interim Amendment (TIA) 97-1. The student will be exposed to the ICS/IMS to gain greater knowledge for controlling the overall incident. Table top exercise as well as field scenarios will be conducted.

All emergency response personnel, including fire prevention, suppression, control and safety personnel

Courses will begin at 8 a.m. on the first day of class unless other arrangements have been made.

Fees must be paid prior to or on the first day of class unless other arrangements have been made. Fees do not include lodging or meals.

Students should bring the same type of clothing as worn on normal duty at their plant, including bunker gear which is NFPA 1971 compliant.
Class hours:
Session I Monday and Tuesday 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
OR
Session II Wednesday and Thursday: 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

A late fee of $50.00 will be assessed to payments made after the registration deadline for the Annual Fire School classes.
