TTP310 - Fiber Optic Installer Certification - 32.00 Hours

Description

The interconnection of a fiber optic cable is a critical part of system performance. The two most common ways of connecting fiber optic cables or components are through the use of splices and connectors. This course teaches students how to prepare fiber optic cables for splicing, splice fibers with a fusion splicer and with mechanical connectors, test fibers and make central office-end connectors. TEEX is authorized by IACET to offer 3.2 CEUs for this program. This course is BICSI approved.

This course can be taught on-site. Participants may bring company-owned test sets and fusion splicers, if desired (not required).

This course is approved for 28 hours BICSI continuing education credit.

Both written and practical tests must be passed to receive certification.
