Course Description


HAZ023 - Hazardous Materials Pipeline Emergency Response Technician Training - 40.00 Hours

Description

The Pipeline Emergencies course is designed in a "modular" format. The entire course consists of a 40-hour program which addresses pipeline awareness (8 hours), pipeline operations (16 hours) and pipeline emergency response (16 hours). This course incorporates both classroom and hands on exercises utilizing the 2,300 foot of underground pipeline and 8 above ground training props. These training props consists of: metering stations, de-watering tanks, pig launching and receiving stations, main line closures, creek crossings and a soon to be constructed multi-use chemical complex with a truck loading terminal. Upon successful completion of this course, you will be awarded 4.0 Continuing Education Units (CEU) certified through the International Association for Continuing Education & Training.

    Due to the nature of the training, a physical examination and fit test is recommended prior to enrolling in this course.Courses will begin at 8 a.m. on the first day of the class unless other arrangements have been made.Fees must be paid prior to the first day of class. Fees do not include lodging or meals.
