Course Description


EPP016 - Hot Line Training 3 - Rubber Gloving - 24.00 Hours

Description

This course is designed for anyone who is responsible for crew operations at the job site. At the completion of this course, you are familiar with assessing, planning, communicating, implementing and supervising emergency repair to an overhead distribution system. TEEX is authorized by IACET to offer 2.4 CEUs for this program.

  • Planning and coordinating job procedures
  • Hazard assessment of an emergency job site
  • Select and setup job site safety equipment for protection of personnel and public
  • Conduct job briefings
  • Perform on-site job safety analysis
  • Work procedures for emergency repairs
    • Broken poles
    • Broken crossarms
    • Floating spans/downed conductors
  • Audience

    Linemen/journeymen, crew leaders, safety coordinators who have experience in the line field, and personnel in the process of cross training

    Required equipment: Rubber gloves (class 2 minimum), rubber sleeves, hard hat, safety glasses, hand tools, work boots and long-sleeve shirts.
