This four-week course offers comprehensive, hands-on training in the safe detection, location, identification and disposal of unexploded ordnance using the techniques, tools and emerging technologies of today's UXO environmental remediation industry. The Unexploded Ordnance Technician, Level I, is approved by the U.S. Department of Defense. Graduates of the course meet the requirements of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) to work on USACE UXO remediation job sites. Students attending the UXO Technician Level I Course have the option of also attending a 40 hour Hazardous Waste Operations (HAZWOPER) course at TEEX. Potential students for the Unexploded Ordnance Technician, Level I, course must be in good physical condition. They must be capable of safely operating under stressful conditions and hazardous environments.
*UXO classes will now operate under a compressed schedule of four weeks.
