This course provides advanced firefighting techniques.
Students rotate among the following classroom sessions and field operation exercises according to the section to which they are assigned.
• Salvage and overhaul
• Apparatus familiarization
• Water supplies
• Fire protection systems
• Reports and records
• Fire cause and origin
• Fire alarms and communications
• Inspection practices
• Public fire education
• Forcible entry (advanced level)
• Positive-pressure ventilation
• Live burns:- Pump alley fires,
- Loading terminal fires, - Pipe rack fires, - Forced Air Exchanger
All Emergency response personnel, including fire prevention, suppresion, control and safety personnel.
Class Hours:
Monday-Thursday: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon
Class limit: 400 students
