Course Description


ASP125 - Rescue VI Rope Rescue Technician NFPA 1006 - 36.00 Hours

Prerequisites

Successful completion of Rope Rescue Awareness and Operations or a similar course meeting the Rope Rescue Awareness and Operations requirements of NFPA 1670.

Due to strenuous demands placed on students, a physical examination is recommended.

Description

The course teaches the skills needed to safely and efficiently perform confined-space rescues in industrial and municipal environments.

Meets NFPA 1006 Chapter 6 Rope Rescue Technician

Successful completion of this course will also provide the participant with the skills necessary to meet Rescue Technician Professional Qualifications, in accordance with NFPA 1006, 2003 edition (Standard for Rescue Technician Professional Qualifications) Chapter 6 Rope Rescue Technician.

Audience

All emergency response personnel, including fire prevention, suppression, control and safety personnel.

Monday-Thursday: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon
