Course Description


HAZ020 - NFPA 472 Hazardous Material Technician Training - 36.00 Hours

Prerequisites

If you would like certification you must provide proof by the end of the class that you are trained to NFPA 472 Hazmat Operations or above is a requirement. You can provide a certificate or a transcript from an accredited agency that lists successful completion of Hazmat Operations or above level or training. This proof must be dated prior to the last day of class.

Description

This course is 4 1/2 days in duration including 1/2 day for any retraining and retesting if needed. This course is designed to teach the participant how to respond and mitigate a hazardous materials release. This course is designed to meet or exceed the elements of NFPA 472, chapter 7 2008 edition. The Hazardous Materials Technician course will provide the tools necessary to obtain certification through NPQS (Pro Board). The course is designed around classroom lectures and interactive exercises. Upon sucessful completion of this course, you will be awarded 4.0 Continuing Education Units (CEU) certified through the International Association for Continuing Education & Training.
