Upon completion of this online, awareness-level course, utility workers will have a better understanding of the hazards presented by hazardous materials in the work place, and how to best protect themselves, others, and the environment. TEEX is authorized by IACET to offer 0.1 CEUs for this program.
Attention State of Texas Licensees:
TEEX is approved by TCEQ to provide one (1) training credit hour to class participants who are licensed as one or more of the following and who complete the approved training in its entirety:
NOTE: Texas Licensees taking this course(s) for license Continuing Education Units (CEUs) approved by TCEQ please read the following information.
Distance learning training courses repeated “within the renewal period” will not be given additional credit beyond the initial course for that renewal period. The course can be repeated in a different renewal period. Operators seeking additional hours can take a course of a different title for additional distance learning hours. Please read each course’s notes for which licenses get credit and for how many hours. If you have questions please call customer service at 800-723-3811.
TEEX processes the results of the on-line training and submits the completion information to TCEQ twice per month. If your license expires in less than two (2) weeks and you need your CEUs processed more quickly, you should (after successful completion of the course) call TEEX Customer Service at 800-723-3811 with your information and license expiration date so we can process the information to meet your timeline.
You MUST first successfully complete the course for us to process the CEUs. Remember you can check the posting of your CEUs at: My TCEQ Status
Upon successful completion of the course, you will be able to immediately print your certificate of completion to retain as a record of your course completion.
NOTE: Licensee’s from states/territories other than Texas please check with your licensing authority for acceptance of CEUs for this course.
NOTE: Participants have one (1) month from the end of the class registration period to complete the course.
Water, wastewater, and other public works and infrastructure staff who need an introduction to hazardous materials training but may not have the opportunity for a more in-depth course.
