WWW502 - Backflow Prevention Assembly Testers 16 Hour Continuing Education - 16.00 Hours

None.Description
This 16-hour class (TCEQ Course # 1099) is designed to provide continuing education for licensed Backflow Prevention Assembly Testers.
This class includes 8 hours of “HANDS-ON” (practical skills) training.Topics

- Hydraulic Principles Effecting Test Procedures
- Mechanical Operation of Backflow Prevention Assemblies
- Limiting Tester’s Liability / NIIO
- Test Procedures for:
- Reduced Pressure Principle Assembly / RPZ
- Double Check Valve Assembly / DC
- Pressure Vacuum Breaker Assembly / PVB
- Spill-Resistant Vacuum Breaker Assembly / SVB
- Safety Concerns
- Hands-on Practice of Test Procedures
Audience
- Individuals holding a BPAT license
- Individuals wishing to obtain a Plumbing Inspector’s license
Other Information
NOTE: To receive 16 hours of continuing education, the participant must be currently licensed as a Backflow Prevention Assembly Tester, or other license as appropriate.
Completing this course provides:
- 16 hours of continuing education credit for Backflow Prevention Assembly Tester (BPAT) license
- 8 hours of practical skills training tequirement for renewal of BPAT license
- 16 hours of training credit to an applicant for a Plumbing Inspectors license (through TSBPE)
NOTE: Law Enforcement Officers please remember to provide us your PID number so we can ensure that you get TCLEOSE credit.
