Course Description
EOT233 - Improvised Explosive Devices (IED) Awareness - 8.00 Hours
Description
TEEX / ISSEE offer this one-day course designed to raise the student’s awareness of IEDs, their components, effects and associated hazards, and apply methods to assess effective cordon distances and evacuation routes necessary to ensure the safety of others. On successful completion of the course the individual will receive TEEX / ISSEE certification. The course will be presented through facilitated delivery and a live explosives demonstration. Some handling of live explosives will be involved. Upon completion of the course the student will be able to demonstrate an understanding of different sources and types of explosives, types of Improvised Explosive Devices, IED component explosive effects, hazards associated with IEDs, and planning cordon distances and evacuation routes.
