This course is typically 100 Hours, ten days in length, ten hours of instruction each day. The International Urban Search & Rescue course is designed to provide the participants with the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform rescue at structural collapse scene due to natural disasters or terrorist incidents. This course is specifically designed for students located outside the United States and provides a number of learning modules at the beginning of the course designed to provide necessary prerequisite knowledge. This course exposes students to the most advanced knowledge available for structural collapse incidents. Additionally, participants have the option to tailor certain modules to meet the urban conditions specific to their home country.

Upon completion of the course, participants will be issued a TEEX Certificate of Completion. Participants not able to complete all portions of this course will be issued a TEEX Certificate of Attendance.
Jurisdictions requiring assistance in establishing regional search and rescue capabilities in the areas of Structural Collapse, CBRNE response, and Water Rescue are encouraged to contact the TEEX US&R Technical Assistance Program.
All emergency responders from municipal and industrial agencies. City, county, private or regional fire departments and responder agencies that have a need for urban search and rescue capabilities. Additionally, TEEX US&R can facilitate enrollment in other TEEX courses such as Rope Rescue, Confined Space Rescue, and Trench Rescue.
This course is only offered as a contracted class conducted exclusively for a jurisdiction, region, or country. These courses must have a minimum of 16 and can have a maximum of 48 participants. TEEX US&R can provide additional tailored curriculum and field exercises based on the requirements of the contracting jurisdiction.
Classes will begin at 7:00 a.m. on the first day of this course, unless other arrangements have been made. Participants should plan travel to arrive the night before classes begin. Course delivery is at Disaster City® in College Station, Texas.
